Western Front is delighted to welcome Kezia Elaschuk as our new Archives Assistant. Kezia joined the team in late July, and we’re thrilled to have her on board. You can learn more about her background and interests below—and don’t hesitate to say hello next time you’re at Western Front!

Kezia Elaschuk

Kezia Elaschuk is a second-generation settler of mixed Indonesian and Ukrainian ancestry who has called Vancouver home for most of her life. She is a recent graduate of UBC’s Master of Archival Studies program and has worked across academic research settings, cultural heritage institutions, and community-led information organizations. Her interests lie in media preservation, community memory, and care-based approaches to archival practice.
