John Oswald

Bio:

John Oswald is a musician, composer, and artist based in Toronto, Canada. He is recognized for coining the term “plunderphonics,” which describes his practice of sonic quotation. In addition to his work in sound, Oswald’s artistic practice also involves dance, with a focus on Contact Improvisation. Oswald was the recipient of the 2004 Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts.
