Stan Persky

Bio:

Stan Persky is a writer and educator based in Vancouver, Canada and Berlin, Germany. In the 1960s, Persky co-founded the Georgia Straight Writing Supplement which led to the formation of New Star Books—a publishing house that Persky worked with as an author and political activist. His work spans journalism, criticism, and memoir, and has explored local and international politics, public policy, media, poetry, philosophy, and the gay rights movement in Vancouver.
