John Hanhardt is an art historian and curator of film and media arts based in New York, United States. A leading scholar on the work of Nam June Paik, Hanhardt established the film and media arts collection at the Walker Art Museum, Minneapolis, and has held curatorial positions in New York institutions including the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
