Bio:

Geoff Hendricks was an American artist based in New York, United States, whose practice encompassed painting, performance, installation, and bookmaking. Active in the Fluxus movement from the 1960s onward, he was recognized for his recurring depictions of skies across media. Deeply influenced by his Quaker upbringing and Zen philosophy, Hendricks explored the relationship between art and life, the material and the spiritual. His collaborative ethos extended to queer kinship and community, especially in the context of the AIDS crisis. Hendricks co-founded Money for Food Press and taught at Rutgers University for nearly five decades, as well as at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and the Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts.
