Tanya Mars

Bio:

Tanya Mars is a feminist performance and video artist from Toronto, and based in Middle Ohio, Canada. Her work explores themes of sexuality, power, and the role of women through satire and comedy. Mars is a founding member and director of Powerhouse Galleries, Montréal—the first women’s art gallery in Canada, was an editor of Parallelogramme magazine, and taught in the Department of Arts, Culture, and Media at the University of Toronto Scarborough.
