Musica Elettronica Viva is a live acoustic/electronic improvisational collective based between Rome, Italy; Paris, France; and New York City, United States. Founded in the late 1960s, Musica Elettronica Viva were early experimenters with the use of synthesizers to transform sounds. Collective members have included Allan Bryant, Alvin Curran, Jon Phetteplace, Carol Plantamura, Frederic Rzewski, Richard Teitelbaum, and Ivan Vandor.
