Bio:

Jochen Gerz is an artist from Berlin, Germany based in Sneem, Ireland. While his career began in literature and translation, since the late 1960s, his artistic practice has spanned new media, installation, video, performance, and photo/texts. Gerz’s work is often concerned with the relationship between art and life, history and memory, and participation and public authorship.
