Jean Erdman

Bio:

Jean Erdman was an American modern dancer, choreographer, and avant-garde theatre director who is recognized for melding world dance styles with drama, poetry, music, and visual art. She was a principal dancer in the Martha Graham Dance Company, a former chair of the dance department at Bard College, and a founding director of the dance program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she also taught.
