Patrick Cruz

Bio:

Patrick Cruz is an artist from Quezon City, The Philippines, based in Toronto, Canada. Working across painting, performance, and curating, his practice is informed by folk spirituality, mysticism, improvisation, clown philosophy, diasporic aesthetics through the process of cultural hybridity, and the effects of transnationalism on bodies, identities, and communities. Cruz is a co-founder of the curatorial collective Kamias Special Projects, and is an assistant professor in the Department of Arts, Culture and Media at the University of Toronto Scarborough.
