Sonny Assu
Bio:
Sonny Assu is an artist based in ƛam̓atax̌ʷ (Campbell River, Canada). Often autobiographical, humourous, solemn, and political, his interdisciplinary work negotiates western and Kwakwaka’wakw principles of art-making in relation to his experience of Indigeneity in the colonial state of Canada.
