Kristy Zhou is an interdisciplinary artist from China, based in Vancouver, Canada. Her work explores psychoanalysis, the body, and intense emotions. Working across sculpture, ceramics, performance, and bookmaking, she channels her inner world through intimate visual languages drawn from her past experiences. These embodied memories extend into her movement practice: Zhou’s background in traditional Chinese dance, ballet, and street dance shapes her approach to performance. She believes the body is an active site of resistance and expression—a medium through which she fights for her ideas.
