To accompany the residency and reading by Tawhida Tanya Evanson, she will host a workshop for writers.
On the workshop Evanson says:
The human being is both stream and tsunami, yet we have difficulty flowing around obstacles. Engage with a free verse poetry that taps into the conscious and subconscious using a basic unifying substance as our guide: water. We will use text, videopoetry and tonal sound therapy to contemplate, meditate, write, edit, experiment, question, share, give and receive feedback, co-create safe space and predict the future of humankind.
There are a total of 15 workshop spaces available. Participants are asked to bring along a pen or pencil and some paper for the writing exercises.
No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If the registration fee presents a barrier, please contact The Capilano Review.
Workshop registration includes a complimentary one-year subscription to The Capilano Review.
