The Tiptons Sax Quartet & Drums is an all-female jazz ensemble based in Seattle, United States. The group—composed of saxophonists Amy Denio, Marjorie de Muynck, and Jessica Lurie, Barbara Marino, with drummer Pam Barger—is named in memory of Billy Tipton, a female-born saxophonist who lived their life as a man in the twentieth-century to realize their dreams as a professional musician. The quartet plays an eclectic blend of jazz, klezmer, gospel, pop, and rock music.
