Eleanor Antin is an American artist and filmmaker whose practice blurs the lines between art, performance, and theatre to explore history, contemporary culture, and identity from a feminist perspective. More recently, Antin has been producing large-scale photographic tableaux that reflect on themes such as environmental destruction and modern warfare. Much of Antin’s work engages serious subject matter while being marked with wit and humour.
