Bio:

Maggie Nicols is a free jazz vocalist born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and has been an active participant in the European improvisational music community since the late 1960s. She began performing with London’s Spontaneous Music Ensemble and later led voice workshops while working in experimental theatre. A committed feminist, Nicols co-founded the Feminist Improvising Group and continues to lead women-focused performance workshops that combine music, dance, theatre, and visual art.
