Denise Ferreira da Silva
Bio:
Denise Ferreira da Silva is a philosopher and academic based in Vancouver, Canada. Her writing and artistic practice address race, colonialism, and ethics by attending to the centrality of violence in the metaphysical and ontoepistemological dimensions of modern thought. She is a professor and director of the Institute for Gender, Race, Sexuality, and Social Justice at the University of British Columbia.
