Rebecca Belmore (Anishinaabe) is an artist based in Vancouver, Canada whose work engages in sculpture, video, and photography in a performance-based practice that often makes use of repetitive gestures and natural materials. Rooted in the political and social realities of Indigenous communities, Belmore’s works make evocative connections between bodies, land, and language.
