Alison Knowles was an artist based in New York, United States who was a founding member of the Fluxus movement. Known for her performances, sound works, installations, and publications, Knowles’s practice is distinguished by the indeterminacy of her event scores as well as the elements of visual, aural, and tactile participation that exists within her performances.
