Barbara Steinman

Bio:

Barbara Steinman is a video and installation artist based in Montréal, Canada. Beginning in the late 1970s, Steinman was involved with independent media art production in Vancouver and Montréal, as a director of Vidéo Véhicule and the artist-run La Centrale / Powerhouse Gallery. Through site-specific and multimedia works, Steinman gives shape to the migration of identities and symbols, as well as the intertwined pathways of time, history, and personal and collective memory.
