John Mitchell

Bio:

John Mitchell was an artist based in Vancouver, Canada whose practice involved video, writing, sculpture, drawing, and performance. Mitchell acted as the campaign manager and spokesperson for Vincent Trasov’s candidacy for mayor as Mr. Peanut in the 1974 Vancouver civic election. He was also a founding member of the art collective PUMPS, and often produced work under the alias Mitchelangelo.
