Jill Kroesen is a performance artist and writer whose practice emerged from the avant-garde art and No Wave music scenes in New York City in the 1970s and 1980s. Her work merges visual art, theatre, and music to critique contemporary social structures and political events. She lives in the Southern California desert where she operates a hotel.
