Bio:

Tari Ito was a performance artist and activist based in Tokyo, Japan. With a background in pantomime and theatre, Ito turned to performance art as a medium to explore sexuality, military sexual violence, nuclear disasters, and personal identity. The founder of the Women’s Art Network in Tokyo, Ito’s performances frequently reflected on female and LGBTQ+ sexuality and identity.
