William Nevens

Bio:

William Nevens was an artist based between Vancouver and Montréal, Canada. Working across painting, sculpture, and assemblage, his practice engaged strategies of conceptual art and abstraction while exploring themes of heraldry, patriotism, and classification. Nevens often worked with abject and discarded materials—including blood, chewed gum, and used clothing—drawing attention to systems of value, identity, and cultural residue.
