Stephen Scott
Bio:
Stephen Scott was an American composer known for his use of extended techniques for piano. In the 1970s, Scott founded the Bowed Piano Ensemble—an experimental chamber music orchestra of ten musicians who use lengths of rosined horsehair, nylon filament, and other materials to bow the strings of a piano, creating an orchestra-like sound.
