Salia Joseph

Bio:

Salia Joseph is an artist and musician based in Vancouver, Canada from the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Snuneymuxw First Nations on her father’s side, and of British and Jewish heritage on her mother’s. She sings in the band An̓usáyum̓ (Two Berries), as well as in the traditional Sḵwx̱wú7mesh dance/singing group Ta Na Wa Káwstem. She completed a year-long Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Sníchim immersion program at Simon Fraser University, and is committed to her continued learning journey of Salish wool weaving.
