Roxanne Charles is a mixed-media artist from the Semiahmoo First Nation, based in Vancouver, Canada. Charles works in a variety of mediums including digital art, jewelry engraving, painting, cedar weaving, sculpture, performance, ceramics, and installation. Her work directly responds to a troubling colonial present and documents a variety of issues that reflect her life experiences, including spirituality, identity, urbanization, food security, resource extraction, trauma, and various forms of systemic violence.
