Tanya Lukin-Linklater

Bio:

Tanya Lukin Linklater is an artist and choreographer based in Nbisiing Anishinaabeg territory in North Bay, Canada. Her practice encompasses dance, performance, video, photography, installation, and writing, and centres knowledge production in and through orality, conversation, and embodiment. She produces performances with dancers, composers, musicians, and poets in relation to the architecture of museums, objects in exhibition, scores, and cultural belongings. Her Alutiiq/Sugpiaq homelands are in southwestern Alaska, United States where much of her family continues to live. Lukin Linklater is a member of the Native Village of Afognak and Port Lions in the Kodiak archipelago.
