Bio:

Skawennati is a Mohawk multimedia artist based in Montréal, Canada. An early adopter of cyberspace as both a location and a medium for her practice, Skawennati creates images, textiles, sculptures, and machinima that explore Indigenous futurism. She is the founder of several Indigenous art collectives, collaborative research initiatives, and artist-run projects including Nation to Nation, Aboriginal Territories in Cyberspace, and daphne. Skawennati is represented by ELLEPHANT, Montréal.
