Moyra Davey is a Canadian artist based in New York City, United States who works across photography, video, and writing. Davey’s practice encourages an attention towards the overlooked details of daily life, often focusing on the surfaces of objects and the marks they accumulate through various modes of exchange and circulation, such as the postal system. Her essayistic videos often layer personal narrative with detailed explorations of the texts and lives of authors she admires. Davey is represented by greengrassi, London; and Galerie Buchholz, Cologne/Berlin/New York.
