Iris Garland

Bio:

Iris Garland was an American dancer, choreographer, and educator based in Vancouver, Canada. She was a founder of the dance program at Simon Fraser University, where she taught from the university’s inception to her retirement as professor emeritus. Her work focused on early modern dance history, dance and technology, and the life of Spanish dancer Tórtola Valencia.
