Clayton Eshleman

Bio:

Clayton Eshleman was an American poet, translator, and editor, noted in particular for his translations of César Vallejo and for his studies of cave painting and the Paleolithic imagination. Eshleman’s own poetry is distinguished by its innovative engagement with myth, psychology, archaeology, and surrealism. He also founded the American poetry magazines Caterpillar and Sulfur.
