Catherine Costello Hirata

Bio:

Catherine Costello Hirata is a pianist, musicologist, and music educator, raised in Calgary, Alberta, and based in Belmont, United States. She has performed as a soloist, in chamber ensembles, and with orchestras, and taught for several years at the Vancouver Academy of Music. She holds a PhD in music theory from Columbia University, where her research focused on American composer Morton Feldman.
