Description:
While in residence at Western Front, artist duo Bik Van der Pol presented an artist talk in the Grand Luxe Hall where they discussed their collaborative research-driven practice, often culminating in spatial and built interventions around the world.
They shared the context of their beginnings in artist-run spaces in Rotterdam. They presented images and discussed their past work including The Bookshop Piece (1996), Sleep With Me and its iterations, Proposition for Reclaiming a Space (1997), Lost in Space (2001), their Loompanics series, Nomads in Residence/No. 19 (2004), Sunset Cinema (2007), Istanbul, 59 Locations: A Format For Nightcomers (2007) and their exhibition I’ve Got Something in My Eye (2008).
They took audience questions throughout their talk and also concluded with a question and answer period.
