Description:

Telepathic Music No. 7: The Principle of Equivalence Carried to a Series of 5 is a single-channel video in which Robert Filliou acts out his idea of "the Principle of Equivalence." He describes this concept as an important element of "Permanent Creation," in which the "Well Made," the "Badly Made" and the "Not Made" are said to be equivalent.

Prompted by an off-camera voice, Filliou is shown performing an action well, badly, and not at all. This sequence is then taken as a "well made" and repeated "badly" or "not at all." The ensemble—now nine elements—is, once again, taken as a “well made” whole and repeated badly and not at all. The series continues to a level of five.
