Robert Filliou’s single-channel video And So On, End So Soon: Done 3 Times is divided into three ten-minute sections titled “Well Made,” “Badly Made,” and “Not Made.”
In “Well Made,” Robert Filliou enacts a series of orders given by a pre-recorded video of the artist. Appearing blindfolded on a monitor, Filliou provides instructions for various movements and sounds.
In “Badly Made,” Filliou is seen reflected in a mirror as he watches himself perform the previous section on a screen.
Finally, in “Not Made,” Filliou turns to the viewer to explain how his concept of the “Principle of Equivalence” underpins these three sections, and how he envisions new, infinite cycles to emerge from this pattern of repetition.
