As part of his North American tour, Berlin-based sound artist Rolf Julius presented his sound installation Light Music No. 1 in the Grand Luxe Hall.
While in Vancouver, he also staged a two-hour outdoor electroacoustic composition along the Stanley Park Seawall.
Both installations were shaped by Julius’s attentiveness to environmental acoustics and the textural qualities of each site, inviting the audience to perceive their surroundings through an expanded mode of listening.
Presented in partnership with the Goethe-Institut.
