Description:
This event was dedicated to a discussion of Kate Craig’s life and work six years after her passing. A panelist of speakers traced the beginnings of her practice, the integration of her personal life and work as one of the founders of Western Front, and her mentorship and feminist legacy.
The speakers—selected for their unique insight of Craig—were Hank Bull, Randy Lee Cutler, Eric Metcalfe, and Cornelia Wyngaarden. Their presentations included photo slideshows and objects associated or made by Craig.
The presentations were followed by a response by Marina Roy and then a larger conversation with audience members.
Johan Lundh curated and hosted this event as part of an ongoing contemporary conversations series, and it was also presented in conjunction with Western Front’s The F Word exhibition.
Video documentation is available upon request.
