Matt Mitchell plays Tim Berne: førage

Description:

For his forty-five minute concert in the Grand Luxe Hall, pianist Matt Mitchell performed reinterpretations of the work of saxophonist Tim Berne, as featured on his tribute album førage (2017). Presented as part of the Bright Moments series, the concert began with opening solo sets by bassist James Meger and saxophonist John Patton.

Presented in partnership with Coastal Jazz & Blues Society, and with support from the Government of Canada and SOCAN Foundation.
