Description:

While in residence at Western Front, Patricia Plattner produced the single-channel video Pour moi, vous êtes aussi exotique. Ethnographic photography, maps, and invitations to travel come together in an exploration of exoticism. As part of the video, Plattner reads excerpts from David Livingstone’s expedition account Explorations du Zambèze et de ses Affluents (1858–64) while Michael Morris provides an English voice-over translation.
