Planetary Network was an extended exchange of audio and slowscan video conceived by Roy Ascott and coordinated by Robert Adrian X for the 42nd Venice Biennale. The event launched with a multiday transmission of live audio and slowscan images, displayed in the central exhibition hall in Venice, and continued as a three-month debate on world news and information systems via the I.P. Sharp computer network.
Vancouver participants included Hank Bull, Doug Brown, Paul Lang, Regan Paynter, and Robert Richardson.
