Description:

In partnership with Coastal Jazz & Blues Society, Music on Main, New Orchestra Workshop (NOW) Society, and Suoni per il Popolo, Western Front hosted clarinetist Elizabeth Millar and guitarist/oudist Sam Shalabi for a ten-day residency as part of the series Trading Places: Un Échange. The musicians were accompanied by saxophonist Ida Toninato and cellist Émilie Girard-Charest for a concert in the Grand Luxe Hall, and performed at several other Vancouver venues with local musicians Soma Morse, Giorgio Magnanensi, Joshua Zubot, and Josh Stevenson, and actor Omari Newton.
