Description:

Livable Cities was a symposium that showcased interdisciplinary research and audio works from students at Simon Fraser University. Moderated by Milena Droumeva and Vincent Andrisani, the program explored contemporary city development and planning projects from a sound perspective while investigating the intersections of architecture, gender, race, and class. Featuring presentations by interdisciplinary researchers, artists, and composers, Livable Cities also focused on community engagement in urban issues that involved symbolic and sensory materials of local urban environments.

Presented with support from the School of Communication; the Faculty of Communication, Art and Design; and the Faculty of Environment at Simon Fraser University.
