Description:
Bassist John Southworth and vocalist Andrew Downing were joined by a seven-piece orchestra of brass, wood, and strings for a live performance of their works Easterween (2012), a Klezmer-Stravinksyesque composition that tells the story of an egg-hunt of cosmic proportions to save the world from eternal winter; and Niagara (2014), two starkly different suites of songs reflecting the water’s international divide.
Presented as part of the VOICE OVER mind Festival, with support from SOCAN Foundation and the Government of Canada.
