Text to Speech was a reading group series that focused on texts about media, media art, and the surrounding concepts and frameworks of the mediated world. Facilitated by guest artists and curators, each Text to Speech session involved collective readings, group discussions, and analyses of select texts.The first iteration of the series focused on Sadie Plant’s book Zeros + Ones: Digital Women and the New Technoculture (1997).
