Description:

Don Druick presented an hour-long selection of solo work for flute and baroque flute, featuring improvised pieces, new original compositions, and works by Japanese composers Maki Inshii, Makoto Shinohara, and Kazuo Fukashima.

For the second half, Druick performed Casa Blanca, a piece for flute and spoken word. Druick performed at a table dramatically lit by a spotlight. A bundle of tulips were strewn on the floor of the Grand Luxe Hall.
