Feb 28, 2014
Field:

Reading

Location:

Grand Luxe Hall, Western Front

Time:

8:00 p.m.

Description:

An evening with poet, playwright, and translator Ariana Reines, presented as part of Scrivener’s Monthly. Reines read selections from her poetry collections Thursday (2012) and Mercury (2011), unpublished work from her notebook, as well as bill bisset’s poem “Transplanted” from his collection Canada Gees Mate for Life (1985).

Scrivener’s Monthly was a series of public presentations that explored the space between material practices and spoken words. Set alongside exhibitions at Western Front, this experiment in “not publishing” involved readings, performances, and other articulations.
