Hank Bull made this single-channel video in the wake of an international telecommunications event in which artists exchanged video, music, and photocopies using slowscan. C’est la Video meditates on the problems of communication and translation from one cultural context to another and advocates for the development of exchanges involving artists from Africa, Asia, and South America. Throughout the eleven-minute video, Bull presents narration in French, German, Italian, English and Pygmy adlib.Video documentation available upon request.
