Description:

The Oratory was a twenty-eight-minute experimental narrative docudrama by Jeremy Isao Speier. The film explores the interpersonal relationship between a god and goddess named Dionysus and Oenothea. Looking into the vortex and persona of Death, the film speaks to themes of artifice, ecstasy, and sacrifice with a dark lucid edge.

Presented with support from the National Film Board of Canada.
