Pro Musica’s Sonic Boom festival featured eighteen works by Vancouver-based new music composers, ranging from chamber compositions, electroacoustic works, interdisciplinary performances, and improvisation.
On the third night of the festival, Western Front hosted a panel discussion that created a space for response and feedback to the work presented over the previous two evenings, and to contextualize the diverse range of new music activity in British Columbia.
